Edit: I could not find a runtime version of Access  for Access 2019. Q: JQuery Ajax: Why does the data parameter always come as an empty array I am using JQuery AJAX to submit my form but, the data parameter comes up as an empty array every time I submit. However, when I try to submit my form using jQuery's native submit method, the data parameter comes up with an array of the correct values. $(document).ready(function () { $("#f_c").submit(function(e) { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "submit.php", data: $("#f_c").serialize(), dataType: "json" success: function(data) { alert(data); } }); return false; }); }); As you can see above, I am using the serialize method to submit my form. A: You're submitting your form as type POST instead of GET, which is why it doesn't work. Remove the type parameter, and also note that data should be an object containing the form data (i.e. the field names in the form should not be stored in data, they should be stored in the objects properties, i.e. the name and value attributes).
